When is an anti-Zionist an anti-Semite?
If you criticise Israel you are not anti-Semitic, but if you only criticise Israel than you are. Many anti-Semites, such as Frank Weltner at JewWatch.com use the term "Zionist" as a euphemism for "Jew". When he says that the Zionists are controlling America, what he really means is the Jews. Anti-Semites have come to hide behind the more acceptable critique of Israel and Zionism, rather than come out and say what they really mean. I have no trouble with an even-handed treatment of human rights issues, but I would like to see advocates for Palestinian rights campaign for a boycott of Saudi Arabian oil and the myriad of Chinese products in response to their human rights records too. Once I see evidence of that, than I will believe that they are not singeling out Israel for special treatment. The best example of this double standard has to be the Lebanese Army's destruction of the Nahr al-Bared refugee camp with absolutely no international outcry or condemnation. Compare this to the coverage of Israel's response to Hezbollah a year ago and the double-standard becomes obvious.
